Il servizio buono / The Good Silverware
Il Servizio Buono / The Good Silverware is a collection of fragments about memory and its imperfect mechanisms. It tells a research through images, writings, archival resources and the creation of unique artifacts. The photographic research shows Italy as a stratification of gestures and experiences handed down, through landscapes, workshops, production places, lost and found images, freely and illogically arranged. The results of the research are collected in a limited edition book, in which a constellation of scientific extracts and autographed writings suggests a story where the present collapses on a parallel and collective memory, processing the relationship with places, with past and imagined life. Il Servizio Buono raised from a collaboration between photographer Marco Fava and designers Marco Cattivelli and Michel Molina Garcés. The project was supported by Centro Diego Fabbri, GAER, Regione Emilia Romagna.
