Palladia
Instant tale of a centuries-long metamorphosis, Palladia is an Nicolò Carlon ongoing project collecting both stability elements and the contradiction of changes, in non-sense stereotypes and in the capability that what remains will always show new fascinations.
Palladia seeks in the magnificent, in its own scars: some of them decaying, others still unleashing beauty. It is an attempt of extreme focus on symbols, items and identity of a nation whose roots are as intricated as modern.
The project involves a complex but shareble cultural habitat, architectural magnificence and aesthetic engineering, landscape disfigurement and negligence of the artistic heritage.
Palladia transcends time, shredding it in different eras and ecosystems, each living at different speed: in the aseptic detachment of the new, the deepness of the old persists. Glimpses of life and places pervaded by the same ability to perpetrate through ineradicable stereotypes: occult rituals so often unconcerned about the world to forget it.
